Position Duties

The release manager will work with a large, global and multidiscipline team in a matrix management organization to help build and implement the software release/software configuration management practices for the team. Responsibilities include:

• Determine the gaps in the current process and skill sets that must be closed to implement release management best practices; identify a plan for closing the gaps
• Provide technical support to software developers in the proper execution of code management processes
• Provide direction and support to all team members in establishment automated testing processes
• Identify the activities needed to ensure the software products meet quality standards and performance objectives within defined time and budget targets
• Drive the identification and adoption of continuous integration processes that could benefit the development team

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a release/software configuration manager
• Prior experience identifying and implementing release management processes and process improvements
• Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills are mandatory
• Automated build and test experience
• Experience implementing CI
• Working knowledge of technical architectures and iterative development cycles
• Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science Preferred)

Preferred Requirements

• Previous Accurev experience strongly preferred
• Java Development and SQL Server experience
• Infrastructure Architecture knowledge
